Option to rename and add notes to folders and files

Before fetching a file, system could automatically search the file you have added.
If your friends already have the same file or similar named one, you don't have to wait for fetching.

let's say i want to download just 1 song instead of the whole album which is the torrent file itself. this also will reduce put.io's bandwidth..

THe Divx Player plugin has the ability to select thru the adio tracks that has been embedded with the video and it has the ability to select the subtitle track for the movie but the option is greyed out even when the subtitle and the movie is in the same folder and has the same name..

It seems like a major waste of time and server resources to auto-extract things I'm downloading, when I'm only going to have to re-zip them again before I download them.

There should be an option to turn auto-extract off, and also to just allow me to download the file without zipping it first.

If there is a way to mount put.io folder as drive then
1. one can and will use your services more often (increased use of bandwidth)
2. increases convenience of accessing files thru esp media files via media players/xbox360/ps3 to play on TV

Maybe there could be more torrent options. Would like to be able to seed past a ratio of 1 and also see upload speed while seeding. Pausing and resuming torrents would be great too.

It would be nice if we have usenet support too.

Add more information about users (or a link to the user profile) so that I can tell who the person who's inviting me is. It's not always possible to tell from the username.

I found good files in my friends account.
I want to tell my friends I like their taste.
Also I want to download or watch them some other time but I keep forgetting who has them.

Like button would be good for both problems.
This way my friends see who liked their files so they wont delete those files immediately.
And I could easily see which files I liked to download.

A simple bookmarklet which would recognize all downloadable links on a page and pop up a "add to queue" window with checkboxes or filter search, without the need of going back and forward the put.io web page.

I got lots of subscriptions but I couldn't keep track of which one has downloaded.

System could notify me whenever new file downloaded from my subscriptions. Or if fetch time is longer than 10 hour I would like to get notified via email when its downloaded.

ITunes compatible RSS output to syncronize Put.io to your Iphone automatically.

i mostly download pictures wallpaper etc
it would be nice if i could view a slideshow of pics in a folder...
i think u can make use of some API or its cakework for a guy like u
so hoping u make it happen..

Currently, we can play music by clicking the file in the folder. Music streaming is smooth and works good, however when we are about to leave to look at our transfers, this help page or any part of put.io , music stops. Music should still be played in the background.

For a music lover, this feature is a must have.
